Hydrangea macrophylla 'Nikko Blue'
Large 8-10" mops of pure blue to rich pink (depending on soil pH) on old wood, one of the truest blues found in the landscape (in the right soils)

Spring/Summer Care: Best if not pruned, but if need be, do so no later than 30 days after flowering.
Autumn/Winter Care: No pruning or maintenance needed.
Fertilizer Needs: Apply a slow-release fertilizer in spring (at first signs of growth). This variety is pH-dependent: apply acidic fertilizers to enhance blue tones, alkaline fertilizers for pinks.
